One of the things I love about photography is that it’s challenging and stimulating–I’m always learning, always improving, always discovering something new about myself and the camera.
A few weeks back I had the chance to work with fellow photographer Angie Schutt as a second-shooter for an engagement session. I love working with other photographers–seeing how they interact with clients, learning from them, and getting a different perspective on the process. It’s always fun when there are two of you at a session, at any given time, someone gets to try things from a different angle, or get that slightly different shot–usually one we may not have gotten otherwise.
Working with Angie is a treat because she’s so much fun and she’s always willing to share her thoughts on a situation and give feedback. She’s honest but not overly-critical, brilliant but not cocky, and I can’t express how much I appreciate having her as a friend and mentor in this business. Angie, Thank you.
But enough about Ang–I have left out a major factor of what made this such a great day, and that’s the couple–Greg and Tatiana. The two of them were an absolute joy to work with, even as we got artsy (Angie and I were just having so much fun) and kept them out way after dark in the Gaslamp district. A special thanks to both of them for adventuring with us that afternoon.
I can’t wait to share the rest of these, but for now–just one:

Don’t you just love LOVE ♥?
